Administrative Innovation and Process Review (AIPR) Task Force
Task Force Sponsor: Phyllis Clark, Vice-President (Finance & Administration)
The mandate of the AIPR Task Force is to conduct reviews of University-wide administrative processes and individual administrative units or processes in order to seek efficiencies and streamline cumbersome processes.
The Task Force seeks input from members of the University community to help identify administrative processes that are overly cumbersome or inefficient. The Task Force will focus on areas that will a) optimize the operational efficiency of a unit or process, b) enhance customer service, c) present new opportunities for cost containment, and/or d) create opportunities for revenue enhancement.
The Task Force is co-chaired by Mary Persson, Associate Vice-President (Audit and Analysis) and Sheree Kwong See, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning), Faculty of Arts.

Below are a couple of examples of past efficiencies that have been implemented. Send us your ideas and we will investigate.
Efficiency:
Centralize Email (Move from 82 independent email systems to one centralized system) - Gmail
Outcomes:
Simplify the campus IT infrastructure
Enable campus-wide calendaring
Improve emergency response
Free up valuable programmer/analyst time
Provide additional functionality
Reduce costs
Efficiency:
Sign a Preferred Vendor Contract with Xerox
Outcomes:
Decreased amount of paper/toner/hardware (and associated unit costs) on campus.
Encouraged more scanning and less printing of documents.
Centralized multi-function devices and fewer personal printers.
Reduced costs.
