How much will the U-Pass cost?
As per the Winter 2010 referendum, the cost for the U-Pass fee will be as follows for all undergraduate and graduate students:

2010/11:  $110.00 less the University subsidy of $18.33 = $91.67 per term.
2011/12:  $125.00 less the University subsidy of $20.83 = $104.17 per term.
2012/13:  $140.00 less the University subsidy of $23.33 = $116.67 per term.

As you will note from above, the University of Alberta continues to subsidize the U-Pass program, therefore the actual cost to U of A students is less.
Graduate Student Spring/Summer U-Pass

In Winter 2010, graduate students voted in favour of implementing a Spring/Summer U-Pass pilot program. The program will begin in the Spring of 2011 and will run for two years. The costs are below:

* Graduate students in course-based Master's programs, who have Spring/Summer course registration(s), will be assessed the Spring/Summer U-Pass fee in one of the registered terms.

** Graduate students in thesis-based Master's programs and PhD programs, who have Winter term course and/or thesis registration(s) are considered as active students through Spring/Summer terms, and therefore will be assessed the Spring/Summer U-Pass fee in the Winter term.
