Logical Operators + - AND NOT OR Logical operators use the principles of Boolean logic to focus search queries.
For example, entering either fish -sharks or fish NOT sharks would return results relating to fish but excluding sharks.
Entering either fish +sharks or fish AND sharks would return results relating to primarily shark-related sites.
Entering cats OR dogs would return results containing subject matter on either cats or dogs.
Wildcards The * represents a string of one or more characters.
For example, entering b*t would return results relating to boot, boat, bat, beret, basement and so on.
The ? represents a single character. For example, entering b?t would return results relating to bat, bit, bot, but, bet and so on.
