The University is rejuvenating many of its institution-wide policies and procedures. When this work is complete, University policies will be found at one of three locations: UAPPOL (University of Alberta Policies and Procedures Online); the University of Alberta Calendar; or the University’s Collective Agreements. All will be available online.

Search tips for finding what you need now

6. MAPPS (Manual of Administrative Policies and Procedures). This shows the index of policies – including the status of many of those that have been moved to UAPPOL or rescinded.

Policies exist to protect both you and the University. Please be aware that you have an obligation to comply with University policy and procedure.

The UAPPOL Project

The UAPPOL Project, sponsored by the Vice-President (Finance and Administration), exists to update university-wide policy and procedure, with an emphasis on retiring or transferring existing documents from the existing hard copy manual. The contents of the General Faculties Council Policy Manual are now being moved to UAPPOL. As well, some administrative units at the University house policies specific to them; those policies will be moved to UAPPOL.
