MSc in OT (Course-based Route) Application Information

Those interested in becoming occupational therapists must apply to the course-based Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT). Minimum admission requirements include the completion of a four-year undergraduate degree (e.g., BA, BSc, BCom, BEd, BPE, BFA) from a recognized academic institution with a grade point average of at least 3.0 in the most recent 60 credits. One Statistics course *3 (3 credits) is a required prerequisite.  (Activity courses in Physical Education, studio courses in Fine Arts, and practicum courses are not considered part of the required *60 (60 credits) of admission requirements and are not included in the calculation of the admission GPA.)
In addition to submitting the on-line graduate application, applicants are required to submit:
- a curriculum vitae in a pre-set format (available for download with the Online Application for Graduate Admission)                                                
 - two letters of recommendation, one of which MUST be from an Academic (available for download with the Online Application for Graduate Admission)  
- personal statement letter (maximum two pages) describing the applicant’s knowledge of occupational therapy and what the applicant can bring to the program  
- 2 sets of official, original transcripts from each post-secondary instutition ever attended (University, College, etc.)
Where applicable, applicants should refer to the English language requirement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (§203.2.4). Applicants who use the TOEFL exam to fulfill the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research's English language proficiency requirement must present a minimum score of 600 (paper-based) or 100 with a score of at least 25 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based).
