The Communications and Technology Graduate Program at the University of Alberta offers a theoretical, historical and practical examination of communications in the era of the Internet.
Master of Arts in Communications and Technology (MACT):
The MA in Communications and Technology is designed for students who seek to provide reflective and informed leadership in the management and use of information and communications technologies (ICTs) in their organizations and fields. These fields include education and training, information technology, public affairs, mass media, marketing, new media production, program design and development, and writing and publishing.
The annual application deadline for the Master of Arts in Communications and Technology (MACT) is 15 December.
A decision regarding admission to the MACT program is sent to applicants by mail in the first week of February at the earliest.
The MACT program is governed by the University of Alberta 's Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR). The Admissions Committee reviews each complete and eligible application, and through a competitive selection process, makes recommendations for entry on behalf of successful candidates to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research.
Applicants who are University of Alberta employees may apply for tuition remission.
