Applying to the UofA
On-line Application
You will receive three important e-mails
Ensure you receive all three e-mails. Print and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
1. The first e-mail is sent when you initiate an application and it contains your unique web application number. Use this number if you want to return to an incomplete application or to view a submitted application.
2. The second e-mail contains your credit card transaction receipt.
3. The third e-mail will be sent to you within 24 hours. It contains your access information to Bear Tracks, our web-based student services. This e-mail will also include your U of A ID number and password.
Completing the Application
Complete the application in sequence, beginning with Section 1 and ending with Section 5. The information provided in earlier sections determines the information to be displayed in subsequent sections. Completing the sections in sequential order will ensure that you complete the application efficiently and accurately.
All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. You will not be able to submit your application until all required fields have been completed.
You have 72 hours to complete your application and submit the application fee payment. If you do not complete your application within these 72 hours, your application will be erased and you will have to start over. Refer to the start time at the top right hand corner of the application screen to ensure the application is completed within the allotted time.
The application will time out if left inactive for more than 10 minutes. Simply enter your web application number and e-mail address on the main login page to continue your application.
