A Dialogue with Marc Marschark, Ph.D.
"Lies My Mother Told Me about Deaf Children"
www.uofaweb.ualberta.ca/edpsychology/wccsdevents2009.cfm
This question and answer dialogue will consider what we know, what we
don't know, and what we think we know (but really don't) about
raising and educating deaf children.

Jones Memorial Lecture
Educating Deaf Children: What We Know and What We Want to Believe
www.uofaweb.ualberta.ca/edpsychology/wccsdevents2009.cfm
This presentation will consider what we know, what we don't know, and
what we think we know (but really don't) about raising and educating deaf
children. Weaving together findings concerning language and learning
among deaf students reveals that we know more (and less) than we think
we do. If we abandon myths and re-examine some of our assumptions
we can create a partnership among parents, teachers, students, and
researchers, basing decisions on facts, while recognizing that we are
dealing with lives, emotions, rights, and responsibilities.
