The hypothesis being used herein is that the quality of mathematics and science education can be improved by an explicit treatment of the natures of and the reasoning employed in mathematics and science. A purpose of this project is for teachers and students to gain a better understanding of the reasoning used in these two important core subjects, and to test the hypothesis stated above.
The content on this website provides textual and visualization prototypes--sample exercises (with answers) suitable for classroom use. The vision is that teachers, curriculum developers, assessment personnel, and publishers will model their creations after some of these prototypes. All the content can be downloaded and modified.
