Gerlich, A.
Adrian Gerlich obtained his BASc and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto. His thesis focused on friction stir welding, and involved determining the underlying mechanisms during weld formation, and characterization of the microstructures produced in aluminum and magnesium alloys. He took up his position at the University of Alberta in December 2007, and is currently examining friction stir welding, roll bonding of MMCs, and Ni-MMC materials for wear resistant overlay applications. News: Thank you to all the attendees for making IURS in Canmore a successful event! A copy of the final proceedings maybe downloaded. Teaching
