Past Imperfect- Graduate Publication
Past Imperfect is the journal of the History & Classics Graduate Students' Association at the University of Alberta. Dedicated to the promotion of student scholarship in history and classics, Past Imperfect provides an excellent forum for graduate students to publish scholarly articles on any topic relevant to history or classics. All articles which appear in Past Imperfect are refereed by at least two anonymous readers and indexed in America: History and Life and Historical Abstracts. Issues are edited by senior graduate students at the University of Alberta. Past Imperfect only publishes articles written by students and is supported by the HCGSA and the Department of History & Classics.
Manuscripts should be 15 to 30 pages in length, double-spaced with endnotes or footnotes. A brief 100 to 150 word abstract should also accompany the submissions. Book reviews of 5 to 10 pages on publications from 2004 to the present are also welcomedStyle should conform to the latest edition of either the Chicago Manual of Style or Kate Turabian's A Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations.
