Application Checklist


All submitted applications require a non-refundable $100 CAD fee.
 

Note: The fee may be waived if you are applying from one of the countries waived from the application fee.

Online applications

If you are applying using the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research’s online application, you must pay the $100 CAD fee by either Visa or Mastercard. You can initiate an application, complete a portion of it and return to it at a later date, however, you will be prompted to enter your credit card information when you submit the application.

 

Submitting supporting documents

To complete your application for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, please ensure that you have submitted the following items directly to:

  • Curriculum vitae; form available on Beartracks

 

 

  • Two (2) official or certified true copies of transcripts;

 

  • Three (3) letters of recommendation;

 

 

  • TOEFL or MELAB Test Score (for applicants from non-English-speaking countries only); and

 

  • Written sample of recent work (M.A. thesis or part thereof, essay, etc.)–Ph.D. applicants only (hard copy only, please do not email).

 

  • A one-page statement of purpose with your application. This should address the areas of History or Classics you are interested in investigating.

 

Please be advised that the processing of your application will be faster if you provide everything listed above as quickly as possible.
