On November 4, 2008, the University of Alberta Interfaith Chaplains' Association is hosting a faith and politics forum in the Maple Leaf room at Lister. Keynote speaker Molly Worthen will present a lecture entitled Reclaiming Culture for Christ: Intellectual Renewal in American Evangelicalism, 1947-2008.

The lecture will be followed by an interfaith panel discussion and break-out sessions. The cost for the forum, including lunch, is $50 ($25 for students). Molly Worthen will also be giving a free public lecture at 7:00 p.m. at the TELUS Centre. The lecture is titled, Jesus for President: Faith, Politics, and Why Americans Can't Keep Them Apart". The public lecture is free of charge but guests are invited to bring an imperishable food item for the U of A Campus Food Bank. To register and for a detailed schedule, visit the Chester Ronning website at www.augustana.ca/centres/ronningcentre/work/forum.
