Our mission is to support teaching and learning excellence across the Faculty of Arts, by providing relevant professional development opportunities, facilitating professional communities of practice, and providing consultative services for all faculty, instructors, and graduate students.
Our Services
The Teaching, Multimedia & E-Learning Team offer a variety of services to meet the academic needs of the Faculty of Arts. We support individual instructors (including faculty, sessional instructors and graduate students) as well as Department and faculty initiatives. These services include:
- Advising and assisting instructors in the areas of:
- Learning Theory and Pedagogy
- Course development
- Writing course outlines and learning outcomes
- Instructional strategies
- Assessment
- Student engagement
- Technology enhanced teaching
- Curriculum design and redesign
- Learning Theory and Pedagogy
- Facilitating a New Faculty Teaching Support Group
- Providing Graduate Teaching Assistance
- Providing E-Learning Support
- Providing one on one training sessions
- Facilitating workshops and training sessions as required by individuals and departments
- Consulting with individuals with regards to all aspects of teaching at the university level
- Implementing of programs to support teaching
