Welcome!

Whether you have decided to come to the University of Alberta or you're just thinking about which university to attend, you are probably wondering how best to get ready for your university experience. You may have heard of the Students' Union Orientation and maybe you have even arranged a campus visit, but what else can you do to find out more about the U of A and make sure you are as prepared as possible for your first year? The answer is T2U: Transition to University!

What is T2U?
T2U is an online workshop designed for grade 12 students to enhance their first-year experience by familiarizing them with parts of the university culture before they arrive. T2U addresses topics such as:

  • University culture
  • Academics
  • Residence life
  • Student services
  • And much, much more!

If you have ever wondered what the U of A is like or worried about getting lost on campus, where to meet people, or how to deal with the stress of university exams, this workshop will give you the answers and start you on your way. Recent studies show that high school grades are no longer the best indicator of success; it is a student's ability to adapt and be resilient. The best way to get set up for success is to be prepared and have knowledge about what you may face in university.

Please take time to go through all the transition services we offer including our pre-university study and writing workshops. You will find all the links on the right side of the page.

For more information on the upcoming recruitment events, please go to the Office of the Registrar and Student Awards.

T2U is a joint venture of the Students' Union, the Office of the Registrar and Student Awards, and University Student Services.
