The Aboriginal Student Council (ASC) is a student group on campus that unites its members for fun, friendship and learning. The ASC Executive is elected annually to represent Aboriginal students at the UofA and to ensure that the Aboriginal student voice on campus is heard. ASC works closely with the ASSC and in partnership with other Faculties and programs for events both on campus and in the community.

Our student space is located at 220 North Powerplant. We have a lounge area for students to relax and socialize on couches. A canteen, fridge and limited locker space are also available for student use.  Membership costs $5.00 (full member or associate member). ASC Sweatshirts (in limited supply) and other swag are also available for purchase.

We organize various social events throughout the school year, including:
  • potlucks
  • volleyball nights
  • group outings
  • volunteer opportunities
  • cultural activities
Information on any upcoming events at ASC can be accessed here.

You can contact the Aboriginal Student Council by phone (780) 492-4847 or email us at acouncil@ualberta.ca.
